The Women Development Organization (WDO), in collaboration with the National Council for Women (NCW), the European Union (EU) in Egypt, and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women), is holding in Cairo a hybrid intensive training workshop for WDO member states for two days. The training is on “Developing the Periodic Reports Submitted by Member States to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).” The training is conducted by five experts of the CEDAW Committee.
The Governments of Germany, Sweden, and Nigeria together with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Women Development Organization (WDO) held today an event on the margins of the 9th Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) which is currently held in Sharm Al Sheikh- Egypt, (13-17th December 2021).
