Egypt moderated the meeting, represented by the President of the National Council for Women in Egypt, Dr. Maya Morsi. The Women’s Development Organization for the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation actively participated in the meeting, where Ambassador/ Ehab Fawzy, Deputy Executive Director of the Organization, presented an introduction to the organization and areas of cooperation between the organization and other international and regional organizations. His Excellency also highlighted the guiding principles that the organization follows in order to achieve the goals. For which it was established to support the role of women in specific areas, namely; Combating extremism, terrorism and corruption, eliminating all forms of violence against women, and empowering women economically.
Member states have also participated, along with United Nations organizations and bodies such as the United Nations Women, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and the United Nations Development Programme. This is in addition to the Islamic Development Bank, and all of them emphasized in their reviews of areas of cooperation to support and strengthen the nascent organization
