The Women Development Organization (WDO), one of the specialized institutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), strongly condemns the decision of the government of Afghanistan to ban women from university. The decision of suspending female students' access to universities will deprive women of their rights to education, employment, and social justice. The organization calls for the Afghan government to swiftly take back this surprising decision that contradicts the basics of Islam and the human rights of Afghan women.
