Jeddah, November 7th, 2023 – H.E. Dr. Afnan Alshuaiby, Executive Director of the Women Development Organization (WDO), met on Tuesday with H.E. Retno L.P. Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, on the sidelines of the Women in Islam Conference in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting covered a wide range of projects that can be conducted in collaborative efforts between WDO and the government of Indonesia to elevate the status of women and girls in the country.
This includes a promising event on the role of the private sector in designing development programs for women and girls, in addition to potentially providing gender mainstreaming capacity building to senior-level officials in targeted institutions.
