Jeddah, November 8th, 2023 – Executive Director of the Women Development Organization (WDO), H.E. Dr. Afnan Alshuaiby, met Wednesday with Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Afghanistan and Former President of Kyrgyzstan, H.E. Roza Otunbayeva, on the sidelines of the Women in Islam Conference in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The two parties showed interest in collaborating with one another on several fronts. They discussed the potential projects that can benefit women and girls in Afghanistan, including projects to promote the role of education in the prevention of violent extremism. They also talked about the possibility of convening a symposium on increasing knowledge about Women, Peace, and Security Agenda.
